This monthly tip is over weight loss.   There is a lot of controversy over of weight loss.  But this month we are going to set things straight.

A typical case of someone wanting to lose weight would be

I have a lot of extra fat around my pecs and lower abs, what can I do for that.

A typical response would be

Do sit-ups, pushups, bench, leg lifts, and that should help.

Wrong!!!

Heres why, doing sit-ups and bench press and other exercises do burn fatbut not from just those areas.  Your body takes it from different areas all over your body.  When you do those exercises, yes you work the muscle there, but youre not necessarily burning the excess fat from just there.

To better your chances for weight loss, you have to eat right.  Eat fewer calories than what you burn.  Then your body is forced to burn up some of its stored fuel.  Keep your heart in its working zone, for at least 30 min.  Work out with weights.  When you build muscle, the muscle you have takes calories to maintain it self.  So the more muscle you have the more calories you burn in your resting state.

Now, after that

A typical response would be

Do sit-ups, pushups, bench, leg lifts, eat less calories than what you burn, and do cardio, and that should help

So in short

1)      Workout with weights

2)      Do cardio for a minimum of 30minutes

3)      Eat less calories then what you burn

Good Luck.
